ContentPosted by Lee (Fort Frances Ontario, Canada) on 26 February 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. This little female repoll just looked so smug and content. It just wanted to be photographed. Usually observed in the tundra. Some winters flocks migrate to southern Canada and the Northern U.S. It is a tame bird that allows close approach and does not fight over territory. Please enjoy. Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. I look forward to hearing from you. If you like what you see, please rate it. Better yet, bookmark the site and drop back often. I will be posting daily.

jamesy from christchurch, New ZealandOh I am enjoying very much. What a great shot I don't know how you do it. Do you publish these? If not you should 26 Feb 2009 6:02am @jamesy: I am glad you enjoy my photos. It pleases me knowing people other than myself enjoy my captures. I have not published anything as yet. A goal of mine is to find someone to assist me in getting started. I'm hoping that will happen this year. However, I plan on posting daily. You would not care to see the discarded shots of branches and perches I have. (you know, the ones after the bird flew) We all end up with countless numbers of these. However, I've learned with birds and animals - patience is a virtue. I good shot makes up for days worth of trying. shallowregret from Kongsberg, Norwayit sure looks like its posing, impressive catch 26 Feb 2009 9:42pm Vinman from Clacton-on-Sea, United KingdomI like the complimentary tones in this shot and the framing of the bird within the branches.
