Dining AlfescoPosted by Lee (Fort Frances Ontario, Canada) on 8 March 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. I saw this squirrel just sitting and eating these seeds. It looked like they tasted pretty good. He just kept grabbing handfuls and stuffing them in his mouth. His cheeks kept getting bigger and bigger. Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. I look forward to hearing from you. If you like what you see, please rate it. Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesI know a lot of people hate squirrels because they are always trying to eat from bird feeders but I, honestly, adore them. Watching their antics is endlessly entertaining. This is one of the best images of one of these rascals I think I've ever seen. Simply marvelous! 8 Mar 2009 5:29am @Suzanne: Thank you for the compliment. Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandAbsolutely adorable!!! This is just such a superb shot!!! I love Squirrels too but we don't have them in NZ and in the UK people hate the gray ones cos they strip the bark off trees...I can understand that...but they are still so cute! I'm looking forward to seeing them again!! 8 Mar 2009 6:37am @Linerberry: Thank you. @john4jack: Thanks Jack. EYES WIDE SHUT from United KingdomThis is sweet perfection, Lee. Don from spokane, United StatesThis snow-flecked squirrel makes a great looking subject. I feed the squirrels and its interesting to see them eat some seeds/nuts and others are carried to a prime spot and buried. I always wonder if they remember where they are to retrieve on a hungry day. This is a very successful shot. 8 Mar 2009 2:15pm Hema Iyer from Bangalore, IndiaWonderful shot. Love the snow on his fur....and the concentration in which he is eating :-) 8 Mar 2009 4:19pm The Big Guy from Regina, CanadaI believe Lee this is a cousin to the one that continually eats or stores the peanuts from the squirrel feeder in our back yard. They sure are busy creatures but allot of fun to watch and photo. Great colours and a great shot, well done. 8 Mar 2009 4:20pm Ajay from Pune, IndiaI wonder what he is eating.
