Mr. Teddy BearPosted by Lee (Fort Frances Ontario, Canada) on 6 April 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. Time for another bear shot. I didn't think you'd want to see more snow scapes. So I'd like you meet Mr. Teddy Bear. You did catch a glimpse of him earlier. He liked to Hang Out a lot. Well on this day he was in a playful mood. I managed to coherce him into posing for a few more shots. He lazily ambled over and just squatted down on the rock, reached for the little tree and pulled its branches toward him, then turned and looked right at the camera. There were no berries on this tree, not even any leaves. Not to sure why he did this, but I did not complain. Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. I look forward to hearing from you. If you like what you see, please rate it. Better yet, bookmark the site and drop back often. I will be posting daily.

The Big Guy from Regina, Saskatchewan, CanadaLee, where was this taken, in a confined area or out in the wild? Usually no matter what age they are if the hear you they're gone. You have a great degree of patience... Well done. 6 Apr 2009 2:55pm @The Big Guy: We have bears pretty close to town. This is a wild bear. They are leary and cautious of humans. That is why I use a large telephoto. That way they are not as intimidated. However, there is still a lot of patience required. Thank you for recognizing and complimenting the work involved. Tracy from La Selva Beach, United StatesWow Lee, I just looked at your last few days & all the images are beautiful. I love seeing bears in a photograph, rather that in person! Thank you for the compliment. @Eric Cousineau: Thank you Eric. Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesGreat capture. May I be so rude to ask if you carry a gun ? I doubt I could venture out where there are bears without some sort of defense against attack! 7 Apr 2009 1:17am @Lesley: Thank you for thinking of my safety. No I do not carry a gun. Bears do not attack humans without cause. I just make sure I give them plenty of room. I try not to invade their space. @shallowregret: They can be very funny and cute. But generally they are just big and dumb. Just don't get them mad.
