Just Another April Sunrise.

I can't help it. Sunrises appeal to me. On mornings when we get to see the sun, colour is sure to appear. It is just a question of will it be yellow, or, will it have other hues and shades about it.
It was just so quiet and peaceful waiting and watching for the sun to appear on the horizon. Very few other things are as relaxing and majestic.
From the darkness appears colour. Then light slowly begins emerging. As the light intensifies, the colour disappears. The sun rises higher and the day grows warmer. And after a several more sunny warm days like this, other types colours will begin appearing, only these colours will be growing from the ground and budding from plants and trees in the form of blossoms.
Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. Sunrise! This phenomenal start of the day is very elusive for me. It's either the sun is all way up when I venture out or the sunrise is blocked by buildings. Beautiful warm colors to start your day. Postcardlike beautiful.

so beautiful the sunrise in CHCH this morning was a stunning array of pinks reds and oranges in strips of cloud but alas I was at work with no camera. Thanks for sharing yours

So nice description ! Seeing the sun rising or desapearing always gives me the sens of my world (euh....not very easy to describe my feelings in English, sorry if it is confuse)

@Marion: I need to be out there set up by 5:30 - 5:45 AM right now. Thanfully I'm an early riser. The first cuople hours of day light is also a perfect time to spot wildlife. It works well for me. Sometimes I use a tripod, most times I improvise.

If this is "just another" sunrise, I am envious! I am a sucker for sunrise too, I am one of those "weird" "morning" people...I love the feeling of watching the sun come up & knowing that I have the whole day ahead of me...So often here in the summer we have dense fog- no sunrise or sunset- just gray all day....

A wonderful sunrise and comment. I never tire of sunrise and sunsets with their unique quality. Some feel they are cliches, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying them! A fine picture.

Wonderful shot, Lee! In concert with your narrative, this is an image that has touched a lot of folks... and, as a card-carrying sunrise addict, I'm certainly one of them. Excellent composition and execution... incredible gradation of colors... love the glassy near-shore water. That's about as perfect and uncomplicated a sunrise as I've seen in quite a while. My whole purpose on this site was to let people know what I see every day. Sunrises as rich and intense as this are not always common. However the orange is a common colour around here. beautiful sunrise! nicely composed - i like how the sunrise opens up to me from left to right coming from behind the trees... the colours are superbly rich and well saturated - a lovely sight!
