Seemed every time I wanted a picture they dove. I only have shots of their butts and feet kicking in the air. @zOOm: Thank you. @grouser: Thank you. They all dove at the same time. I thought it was interesting. Sarah from SwitzerlandI won't even tell you that I (again) forgot it was Silly Tuesday and sat here for about 10 seconds admiring the shot before I realised that I couldn't tell which end was up.... *SIGH* I used to think I was reasonably intelligent before I "met" you, Lee! Well done - AGAIN! 2 Jun 2009 11:15am @Sarah: Thank you Sarah. I enjoy hearing from you. You make me laugh. Marion from Cincinnati, United States:-) You did it again!!!! WOW - what a great job you do with Silly Tuesday! Love it and am still marvelling at that shot! Simply amazing! 2 Jun 2009 11:21am @Marion: Thanks Marion. I only wanted a picture of these birds swimming so effortlessly. Every time I tried to take it they would dive. I have a bunch of shots of their feet in the air, water splashing. @Eleftheria: Thank you. It's morning, I'm hungry, and confused. 2 Jun 2009 12:38pm @Shanny: It was quite easy actually. I was sitting in my truck with the window down. When they swam by I started to click. They sure do kick up a lot of water when trying to catch a fish. @amirreza: Thank you very much. Don from spokane, United StatesWhat strange behavior. Anyway, you got some fine action shots even if the action was not quite what you envisioned! :-) 2 Jun 2009 2:46pm @Don: Thanks Don. They are Pelicans fisshing. Seems when one plunges after a fish, they all do in unison. There is a lot of kicking goes on while they're heads are submerged. Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceWhat an excellent and funny capture, very well done. Silly Tuesday rules. @sonja loner: Thank you Sonja Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld(old Pembroke Dock boy,Wales), Germany:-) All hail "silly Tuesday" Cool shot. 2 Jun 2009 4:01pm @Anthony Morgan Lambert: Thank you Anthony. Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United Statesok, so i don't know how much of this tale is true, or how gullible I am... "water ostriches" ??? They look like good ol' ducks to me!!! And if so, you are the silliest thing around today!!! 2 Jun 2009 4:28pm @Susan: It is Silly Tuesday. I do apologize if I lead you astray. These are really White Pelicans. Seem when one plunges after a fish they all do is almost unison. I thought the shot was different a humorous. The Web-Footed Water Ostrich was just my sick sense of humor. I am glad you enjoyed viewing it. Thank you for the compliment. Veronique from Sarrouilles, Franceahhh that's a fantastic silly day, but this "à part" it's a very good picture 2 Jun 2009 5:13pm @Veronique: Thank you very much. @Onlymehdi: Thank you. @john4jack: Silliness indeed. Thanks Jack. @Alun Lambert: Thanks Alun. @dkc: Thnak you. That's a good one. Thanks for the compliment. B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United StatesFun and interesting shot. I like the water drops frozen in time. 3 Jun 2009 1:30am @B. Thomas: Thank you. Denise from Duncannon, United StatesAlways ready to make me chuckle, after a long day.... Thank you:) 3 Jun 2009 1:36am @Denise: You are very welcome. I am pleased to know I help brighten your day. @Sandrine: Thank you Sandrine. LauraS from Chico, United StatesWhat do you have all day to wait for this special, special shots? Or are you really underwater, coaxing them to you with food? Great ST shot. 3 Jun 2009 3:14am @LauraS: No coaxing. No food. And I do not wait any longer than I need to. I actually plane where I'm going before I go out. I do not always get to see what I hoped. Sometimes it works for me. I was actually sitting in my vehicle when I took this shot. I shot it from the drivers seat. I watched them for about thirty minutes. @Didier DE ZAN: Thank you very much. @kisskool: Thank you. Timing was of the essence. @shallowregret: Thank you.
