mats from Texas, United StatesYes, she can't hide with that yellow streak on her chest...I think she was so tired of bending down, that she used the wire to rest her beak into. 9 Jun 2009 5:19am @mats: That's a good one Mats. @Lydie et Roland: Thank you. Have a great day. Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomI really quite like the shot as it is, silly or not. I love the way the bird is peering over the wire. There's a mix of natures beauty and man made barbed fencing. All this against a really clean uncluttered background. 9 Jun 2009 6:04am @Mike: Thnak you Mike. I just thought the bird looked silly, looking over and under the wire at me. Veronique from Sarrouilles, FranceVery nice the way you explain this ! Lovely shot as usual. A bit on the mode stress these day, with a *@#$")** slow satelit internet connection but I'm still trying to come every day and sometimes, like today, I have the luck to see all of the picture and not just the top. Have a nice week 9 Jun 2009 6:33am @Veronique: Thank you Veronique. I hope your days are sunny clear and wonderful. Enjoy while you can. @r00t: Thank you. Sarah from SwitzerlandLee, now I'm all confused! Is this a real shot or has it been worked on??!! And I came here expecting something silly and now I'm not so sure! In any case, I like it! ;-) 9 Jun 2009 7:43am @Sarah: Thanks Sarah. Nothing worked on here. This is the original shot. @Elena Kotrotsou: Thank you Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld(old Pembroke Dock boy,Wales), GermanyIf I can´t see you then you can´t see me,very nice shot :-) 9 Jun 2009 8:31am @Anthony Morgan Lambert: That's the way I thought the bird was thinking. Sussi from Landskrona, SwedenNice picture with a very interesting composition and colors, attentive shot! 9 Jun 2009 8:31am @Sussi: Thank you Suzanne. @Hidalgo: Thank you. @Baby Sis: Thank you Shelley. Soe from Bangkok, ThailandVery cool capture.. very nice write-up. Thanks for sharing it with us. 9 Jun 2009 9:58am @Soe: Thank you for visiting. You are very welcome. Loner from Wörgl, AustriaPoor bird - he is behind the fence - he cannot fly away or . . . ! 9 Jun 2009 10:09am @Loner: Trapped, I'll bet you're right. That's why it kept looking at me like that. It wanted out. LOL. @amirreza: Thank you. Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, CanadaI guess "Peek-a-Boo" might have been a better title.....LOL. Nicely captured Lee! ;-) 9 Jun 2009 12:01pm @Eric Cousineau: Thank you very much. @Sarito: Thank you. Shannon from Fort, CanadaMy first impression was that she was bulking up by doing some chin ups. Really hard to do when your arms are wings, and your legs have to hang on to the 'floor'. 9 Jun 2009 12:40pm @Shannon: Now that would be an interesting shot. The world's bulkiest bird. Hmmmmm..... Tracy from La Selva Beach, United StatesHe does seem to be doing this on purpose! Glad you took the shot, it is a fun bit of bird behavior to enjoy! 9 Jun 2009 1:29pm @Tracy: It was rahther funny to watch. @MARIANA: Thank you Mariana. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaThat is not only sweet and funny but also very special :) 9 Jun 2009 1:57pm @Lorraine: Thank you Lorraine. Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesYou just can't get these birds to do what you want!!! Cool shot for silly tuesday!! 9 Jun 2009 2:10pm @Susan: Thanks Susan. Elora from Genoa, ItalyI don't think it's just birds...everytime my cat tries to hide she forgets her tail is sticking out. I guess they have a slight proportion problem :) Great shot anyway! 9 Jun 2009 2:49pm @Elora: That's a good one Elora. I can just see it. vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Québec, CanadaLooks like an olympic gymnast, cool shot! 9 Jun 2009 3:02pm @vu@granby - Wolfgang: Thank you Wolfgang. @john4jack: Thank you Jack. Yes it does. @lydia: Thank you. mohkum from Muscat, OmanExcellent shot! Haha, I am also in doubt, is there anything in this shot? 9 Jun 2009 6:15pm @mohkum: Thank you. I'm sure that is what it was doing. @Alun Lambert: Thanks Alun @Onlymehdi: Thank you grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomProbably the principle is if I can't see you you can't see me. 9 Jun 2009 7:07pm @grouser: I am sure that is what is was doing. Then it would peek and look if I was still there. @dan: Probably right. @dkc: Thank you Dimitris. LauraS from Chico, United StatesWonderful that you found a little yellow bird you could train to play hide and seek with you for Silly Tuesday. Love his attitude! and yours! ;-) 9 Jun 2009 8:27pm @LauraS: Thanks Laura. Life is Good. @jamesy: Thank you Debbie. @Veronelle: Thank you. @Earnest: Thank you Earnest. BIG SIS and Brother-inlaw from Petawawa Ontario, CanadaHi; Lee Ha! Ha! Ha! good one, but his still L@@KING at U ! 10 Jun 2009 1:54am @BIG SIS and Brother-inlaw: Yes she is. We played this game for a while. I finally left. B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United StatesVery funny. It's like the elk do - they are facing you then before you can press the shutter, it's a butt shot. They don't run - just turn and give a rear view. ;-) Yep, I think this bird knew what he was doing. 10 Jun 2009 4:10am @B. Thomas: The bird knew what is was doing for sure. It was actually quite hilarious. @Magda: Thank you Marion from Cincinnati, United StatesLee, what a cute shot! It reminds me of my daughter: when she was about 15 months old, she would "hide" by sticking her head under a pillow on the couch, thinking that we cannot see her since she could not see us. It was hilerious! 10 Jun 2009 11:37am @Marion: Thank you MArion. I can see that happening. Seems at some point we all were silly. @Eleftheria: Thank you Vinman from Essex, United KingdomI really like the out of focus backgrounds this lens gives you. Nice character shot of the bird and framing too. 11 Jun 2009 7:14pm @Vinman: Thank you. This lens works well for bokeh effects. It also helps when the background is a field or clearing as in this case. Linda from Riga/Sigulda, Latviahehe, it's still an excellent shot, becouse it's funny 12 Jun 2009 4:44pm @Linda: I thought so also. Thank you for the compliment. |
