SoloistPosted by Lee (Fort Frances Ontario, Canada) on 15 June 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. The Common Yellow Throat is a colourful bird. Right now you can hear them calling and singing everywhere. They are among the many species of warblers that help keep our insect population in check. Their nests should be starting to be be populated with eggs any time now. Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. I look forward to hearing from you. If you like what you see, please rate it. Better yet, bookmark the site and drop back often. I will be posting daily.

Sussi from Landskrona, SwedenUnbelievably nice photo, composition is exquisite, like the way you caught the attentive bird in the picture just in a singing lesson;) 15 Jun 2009 8:57am @Sussi: Thank you very much. @Baby Sis: And sing out loud is exactly what it was doing. Take care. @Linda: Thank you @Kerri: Many thanks Elora from Genoa, Italylike how your framing series is continuing, but I wonder whether in the last two a more contrasting frame would have worked better. What do you think? 15 Jun 2009 12:57pm @Elora: I tend to agree with you. I have quite a few of these ready made frames. I have been exceptionally busy lately. Not much time. Just grabbed first one I found and used it. I am experimenting looking for the right combination. Thank you for the comment. @mohkum: Thank you very much. Tracy from La Selva Beach, United StatesGreat action capture! Personally, I like the more subtle framing- I am of the opinion that too much contrast might compete for my attention with your main subject, which is that beautiful bird :) 15 Jun 2009 1:08pm @Tracy: Thank you Tracy. I am experimenting. Glad to hear your opinion. B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United StatesI just saw your post from yesterday and commented there. Thank you! I think your shots are so good that they do not need any framing, and it might even distract from the perfection you achieve. On the other hand, it's always fun to try new things. ;-))) 15 Jun 2009 1:09pm @B. Thomas: Thanks Barbara. I like experimenting. I also learn form others opinions and critques.
