Sunset Island

I call this island "Sunset Island". It is located just off the causeway along the highway across Rainy Lake just outside of town. There is a pull off located along side of the highway. It offers a great vista over the water. During the month of July the sun sets at the right location to put this island silhouette in front of it. As you can see there is definately lots of colour to behold. This is the reason the area is called sunset country. I just hope this shot does it justice. It is almost something you have to see to believe sometimes.
Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. I know what you mean. I don't think my shot of Friday Harbor was nearly as breathtaking as the view I saw that morning. I was so tempted to shout out and awaken the entire marina so someone else could see the beauty. It was so amazing, I almost cried.

@Lesley: The shot does proer justice to the colour. The shot does not do proper justice to the scale or magnitude of the colour. The panoramic of this sight was incredible. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment. Your Friday Harbor shot is incredible.
