First Fright!

Posted by
Lee (Fort Frances Ontario, Canada) on 1 March 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

I watched this little merganser for quite a while. It would swim to the far shore of the pond, then take off toward me. This happened several times. There was not enough light to properly expose this scene and hold the detail. I almost discarded this shot. Very blaaah looking. After I layered the wolf head in the background, it became a keeper.

Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. I look forward to hearing from you. If you like what you see, please rate it. Better yet, bookmark the site and drop back often. I will be posting daily.

FANTASTIQUE!!! Le canard semble tellement affolé! Beau montage!!! Mais j'aimerai que le canard puisse se sauver très rapidement!!!

Plus de peur que de mal!

Like one of those marvellous futuristic wall posters by Athena that sold in the eighties and nineties over here. Bold, striking, and really well presented
