Watch your Step

Posted by
Lee (Fort Frances Ontario, Canada) on 3 July 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

I found this nest at the edge of my favorite pond. While trying to photograph dragonflies the mother scared me when she jumped from the nest. A person can never be to careful of where they step in nature. It is a nest of a sparrow, I'm not sure which sparrow.

Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. I look forward to hearing from you. If you like what you see, please rate it. Better yet, bookmark the site and drop back often. I will be posting daily.

A lovely little treasure! I know I will be more careful the next time I go out! ( I seem to find things like rattlesnakes, though!)

These nests are so well hidden, it's hard to find them.
Now mom was off the nest you had the change to take a nice picture of the eggs.

Is that normal for them to nest on the ground? Glad you caught yourself before stepping on the eggs!
