Rare Find in Town

All I can Say is " I'm Back"

It's been quite a ride. But I'm back and ready to continue posting again, You may have noticed I was on auto pilot there for a while. I will try to catch up and stay in touch.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Technical difficulties have been resolved. We will continue with regular programming from now on.

The Lady Slipper grows wild here in this neck of the woods. It is Minnesota's State Flower. I was just amazed to hear and find a colony of these flowers growing within town limits. Thanks Darlene.

Thank you for visiting my site. I consider myself to be lucky living where I do. Everyday I wake up to a wealth of interesting visual scenarios. Most of my pictures are Wildlife and Nature taken from around the area. The area specifically being Fort Frances Ontario on beautiful Rainy Lake. Feel free to comment on what you see. I look forward to hearing from you. If you like what you see, please rate it. Better yet, bookmark the site and drop back often. I will be posting daily.

Slipper? How can you put your feet on this delicate flower :-)
Welcome back!

@mats: Thanks Mats. I missed being able to comment. Feels good to be back. Incidentally, it's a slipper for Boreal elves. But only in early summer. And like I said, I was amazed to hear about this colony of wild flowers growing within town limits. I wouldn't want anyone to put a foot on these beauties. Take care.

@Denise: Thank you Denise. It does have a certain droopy but bright look about it.

Sarah from Suisse, Switzerland

What a beautiful capture! Lady's Slipper is used in flower essence therapy for "helping the soul to incorporate its spirituality more completely into the body. It especially balances the relationship between the crown chakra and the lower energy centres." Who knew?!

@Sarah: Thank you Sarah. Who knew is right. Thanks for the information.
